Things to Consider in Blended Learning Context: Students’ Vocabulary Learning Strategies

The move from teacher-centered to learner-centered pedagogy, which empowered students take charge of their learning, has attracted the researcher conduct this study. This paper explored types vocabulary learning strategies (VLSs) used by intermediate learners English as a foreign language in Lampung universities and relationship between VLSs speaking ability. It also attempted find out most-used least-used for language. adopted quantitative correlational research design. One hundred seventy-nine participants nine different participated An 50-item questionnaire was data collection. distributed two separate sessions: online via Google Form link offline through printed questionnaire. descriptive statistics analysis questionnaire's responses showed that were medium strategy users (mean=3,11). Determination memory most frequently used, while social least used. Pearson correlation coefficient on SPSS revealed fragile participants' ability where value is r< 0,30 (r= 0,089). Finally, it recommended teachers help become initiative responsibility success providing them with sense enhance knowledge.
